Why we built Pygar
Important decisions are often prepared for alone. A manager faces a difficult conversation; a leader has a proposal to defend; an individual cannot understand why a conversation went badly. Without a constructive challenge, an interpretation can start to feel like an established fact.
Pygar gives you a private space to work through the situation. Five purpose-built tools help you test assumptions, assess the evidence, consider other perspectives, prepare what to say and practise conversations or meetings where relevant. Communication Cards add a way to consider how you and others prefer information to be shared.
How that helps in practice
Imagine preparing to raise repeated missed deadlines with a colleague. Pygar helps distinguish the missed deadlines from an untested assumption about their motives. It suggests fair questions and a constructive opening, then lets you practise. If you know how that person prefers to communicate, you can also consider whether to lead with the decision, the evidence or more context.
