Synthesis is taking too long
Each current Ask mode has an enforced overall run limit, from 60 seconds for Fast to 300 seconds for User Defined.
Panel duration varies with the selected mode, provider response time and whether the run needs retries or resilience fallback. The enforced overall limits are:
- Fast — a focused three-voice sprint for quick decisions and well-scoped questions. The run has a hard overall timeout of 60 seconds.
- Standard — the full five-voice panel, balanced for most questions. The run has a hard overall timeout of 180 seconds.
- Philosophical — an extended panel that adds the Philosopher and examines first principles and longer-range implications. The run has a hard overall timeout of 240 seconds.
- User Defined — a panel of 2–10 voices chosen by the user rather than selected by category routing. The run has a hard overall timeout of 300 seconds.
If the browser loses the live stream, reopen the question. Durable run recovery restores a healthy in-progress run or its completed result without starting a parallel panel. If the run ends with an error, retry from the question surface or contact support with the question time and account email.
