The canonical category-routing recipe has five roles:

1. Lead — decides the answer's spine and shape. The Lead names what kind of answer this is (recommendation, framework, comparison, refusal).
2. Depth — adds context, decomposition and evidence. The Depth seat is where reasoning is unpacked rather than asserted.
3. Test — challenges the answer. The nature of the challenge depends on which personality occupies the seat (a Skeptic tests for unsupported claims; an Ethicist tests for harm).
4. Ground — checks against constraints, conditions and feasibility. The Ground seat names the cost of being wrong.
5. Human — shapes the answer for the reader: clarity, emotional fit, and awareness of the burden the answer places on the asker.

Those five roles describe the Standard routed panel. Fast deliberately runs a smaller three-voice panel; Philosophical adds the Philosopher to the routed composition; User Defined replaces category routing with the voices the user selects.
